"Human grade" Pet Food Ingredients
Deceit and fraud are at the core of modern pet food marketing trends.
Stroll down any pet food aisle nowadays and you'll be inundated with imagery that is commensurate with human grade meats and ingredients. The fronts of pet food bags in particular are packed with ingredient imagery that is compatible with American human food sensibilities. The same is true of pet food television commercials and magazine ads.
Why? Because people love their pets, and companies want pet caretakers to believe that by feeding foods that appear to be in sync with the foods they put on their own dinner table, they're providing pets with the best possible nutrition. Eager to earn consumer attraction and business, pet food companies show the people what they want to see: Foods that meet human aesthetic preferences and expectations; whether representative of the actual ingredients in their pet foods, or not.

And the fact is, most of these companies are flagrantly misleading the public. The meat ingredients (especially) pictured are often not at all representative of the ingredients that comprise the pet food product.
Some pet foods (a strong minority) actually do include only human grade meats and ingredients.
Both approaches are misguided: The one being a lie, the other environmentally irresponsible and absolutely unsustainable.
When you see pet food bags or advertisements with images such as these, don’t be misled. What you see is not actually what you get. If you doubt that, contact your pet food company and ask them to confirm that what you see on the packaging is truly representative of ingredients in the food.
So, you make the choice: Misleading, polluting conventional packaging, or our honest ingredient approach + Impact-Free Pet Food Packaging™.
